Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Batonly. By using the service, you agree to them. Please read them — we've kept them straightforward. If you have any questions, contact us before using the service.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Batonly (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These terms apply to all users of the Service, including visitors, registered users, and anyone who accesses or uses the Service in any way.
2. Description of the service
Batonly is a web application that lets you upload screenshots of a workflow and uses AI to generate step-by-step documentation from them. Generated guides can be viewed, edited, and shared.
The Service is provided on an “as is” basis. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
3. User accounts
To use most features of Batonly, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your password confidential
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
4. User responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when creating your account
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes
- Not share your account credentials with others
- Take care not to upload screenshots containing sensitive personal information, credentials, or confidential data belonging to others
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Upload content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others
- Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service without prior written permission
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our permission
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.
6. Ownership of user content
You retain ownership of any screenshots, images, and text you upload to Batonly (“your content”). By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process and store it solely to provide the Service to you.
We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for any purpose beyond operating and improving the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to upload any content you submit. Do not upload content that belongs to someone else without permission.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep Batonly available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, outages, or circumstances beyond our control.
We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime or service interruptions.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Batonly and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
AI-generated guides may contain errors or inaccuracies. You should review all generated documentation before relying on or sharing it.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@batonly.com. Upon deletion, your account data and generated guides will be removed.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, with or without prior notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you unless doing so would cause harm or is prohibited by law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a notice within the app. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
Continuing to use Batonly after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
11. Contact
If you have questions about these terms, please contact us at hello@batonly.com.
